It was weird when I discovered that I didn't really fit the demographic anymore, but in pre-Internet times, this was how young people found out the latest trends :-)
Clairol Herbal Essences, 1997

I bought some of the Tea-lightfully Clean shampoo but was disappointed that it didn't have the scalp tingling zing of other tea tree oil shampoos. To be honest, it smells like candy for some reason.
The ads totally sold me on the product - as a young adult they were pretty edgy for the time and I liked the shampoo a lot for a while. I looked up some of the newer ads and they are positively boring!
