All I can see is we get together once in a while way the hell out in the back a nowhere -- "

"How much is once in a while?" said Jack. "Once in a while ever four fuckin years?"

"No," said Ennis, forbearing to ask whose fault that was. "I goddamn hate it that you're goin a drive away in the mornin and I'm goin back to work. But if you can't fix it you got a stand it," he said.

I actually saw part of this being filmed... they were filming on State Street near the Chicago & State subway station (which was my intended destination).

You have no idea how hard it is to find origami in vintage ads!  All so I could post these two vintage book covers, one of which I saw in person recently at an origami exhibition - they are as cute and charming as they look - and sadly only these small versions are available online.

One of the best movie posters, art-wise, but it doesn't fully convey the... unnerving oddity of this film.  Still, with a 94% rating at RottenTomatoes, as "one of the most keenly observed portraits of New York's early '80s downtown new wave scene," you can almost overlook the part about the aliens that consume people during orgasm.  Except that it's central to the entire story. Yeah! :D  Trailer.

The movie, not the TV show, of course. I hated this movie for two reasons: 1. It was terrible. 2. It was filmed at my college and I was late to class a couple of times because they blocked off huge sections of campus and I had to walk around. Seeing my school's logo blocked out for a fake one was also weird. Also, whenever they needed extras, I wasn't available! I just know I would have been discovered!
