Ad on the left reads, translated: "French cautionary articles. Women's protection, womb syringes, jockstraps, rubber batons (dildos) etc. etc. cheapest in gross and single units. Gone are the good old days (1946!) indeed.  And the woman with the servant (approx. 1846 by the text) is mainly happy that her cosmetics come in cans. :-/
