Vintage Ads

Calgary and Edmonton are two large cities 300km apart, but when I moved here in summer 1995, I realized that there were many fundamental differences. One is that YYC Chicken on the Way is a storefront, whereas YEG's Chicken on the Way was a cheerful red and white truck that showed up at your doorstep! A quick Google shows that this service seems to no longer be and that Chicken on the Way is the same there as here now. I always wished I could order Chicken on the Way as a kid. Every time the truck showed up in my neighbourhood, someone was getting a treat!
