She's sporting a good bit of the entire garden here. Luxottica Group have done calendars back to the '80s in this style.

I have always liked the Peanuts characters in the MetLife ads. Most people associate MetLife with Snoopy, but they use other Peanuts characters as well.

Yep, this really is "vintage" now (at least for this community). I want to watch this again.  It's hard to remember that Matthew McConaughey was not a major player in this. His character was memorable, though. His career is going all right, all right, all right!

Movie Trailer day and were moving closer to being able to post ads from 1994.

So here is one from the latest we can post 1993's Jurassic Park.

Heavy bangs and retro headgear--not a bad start!

Askew cap is an acceptable alternative to a porkpie hat. Now hold that smirk until your ironic mustache comes in.

They still have clunky glasses, thrift store clothing, tats, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and keeping [INSERT HIPSTER-APPROVED CITY] weird to look forward to.

Not a Christmas ad, per se, but you can't have Christmas without the Peanuts gang and you can't have a holiday party without a big bowl of Chex Mix so someone can exclaim: Okay, who picked out all the nuts?

I have never seen this.  Sounds like it may have been slightly controversial. Looks like it has a good cast anyway.

C.S. Lewis (whose nickname was also Jack)

Movies don't usually make me cry, but I couldn't hold it back with this one. If you want to know whatever became of Lewis's stepson, click here.

One of the highest-prized items in certain Gay circles is a "Magic Earring Ken".

The Luxxotica Group has used artwork by Paola Casagrande since the 1980's. It's quite stunning. I wish I could find a copy of the 1985 calendar. The last time I had seen any of that artwork was in the early 90's at a friend's place in AZ.

I have accepted noluck_boston's challenge to find an ad for World Laboratory Animal Day. :)

BWC Veg Times Mar 1993
Aww! The monkey seems to be eyeing the product.

The copyright is for 1989, but I found the ad in a 1993 issue of Vegetarian Times. Do we have a rule about which date we should go with or does it not really matter?
