Yep, this really is "vintage" now (at least for this community). I want to watch this again.  It's hard to remember that Matthew McConaughey was not a major player in this. His character was memorable, though. His career is going all right, all right, all right!

It was on Netflix about a year ago or so and I watched it then. One thing that bothered me that didn't before (and I am so bad at remembering characters' name so bear with me) is toward the end when everyone is still at that party and the freshman girl and the guy with glasses are getting to know each other. One of the upperclass girls comes over and tries to haze her some more by making her do something stupid and the guy tells the freshman girl "don't do it." At first, it seemed supportive, but later I thought, where does he get off telling her what to do? If she want to be in the popular group, that should be her choice! If he really likes her, he'll support whatever she chooses to do.

Well, that's neither here nor there, but just one of those things where you sometimes get a different take on something when you rewatch it.

I hate how all the movies I really want to see on Netflix aren't available; I just recently got a new Mac—previous one was 10 years old—and it doesn't have a disk drive! Of any kind!

Obviously when I get some money I have to get an external drive.
