The kid does have that "bitch, please" look in regards to the soap girl.

I think soap girl is going to be needing soap very soon! Hope it washes blood away.

The more I look at this ad, the more I wonder if maybe the artist is showing a slight bit of sensitivity by showing the white child as being slovenly in her own right. Maybe the artist was told what the client wanted and provided that, but also included some touches to suggest that soap girl has no right making comments about anyone else's appearance. The black child isn't really dirty. Her skin is clean and her clothes may be stained from age and hard use and are not necessarily dirty. If they aren't clean, it's probably from having to work in the fields as African American children often did even at that age. Either way, she definitely looks more pissed than shamed.

Or, I'm reading too much into the ad as I often do.
