misstiaVOTE FOR AD OF THE YEAR!!!! come on, we only have like 32 votes!!! voting is through tomorrow!!! let's get more votes!!!
JANUARY CONTEST THEME & RULES
'FIRSTS': First appearance of a product in advertising, first in the name of the product, first appearance of an actor/actress/celeb in an ad, etc....feel free to add to that definition in the comments here....
RULES
1. You MUST put at least 'CONTEST' in the subject line of your post, i will not count vote otherwise!!!
2. Photo or Video ads are fine. 1992 and before.
3. Amongst all the other changes with LJ's sucky ass release 88, there is one good change and one bad change that applies to the moderation queue. The good change is that you can submit more than one ad to the queue at a time (how many you can in total, i do not know, but i know from the past few days that some people have had up to 3 posts in the moderation queue at once, whereas before it was just one). The bad change is that i cannot see where the ads are posted from (as in if they are hotlinked) until AFTER the ad is approved. So please do not hotlink. I had to delete a post after i approved it the other day as the poster hotlinked.
4. All regular rules apply---but PLEASE! only one ad per contest entry post!!!
5. Of course other ads are always welcome during contests!!!
6. VOTING is done via a YES in the comments. If you can see 'em, please put it in the subject line (because we have 'em! ;) if you can't see 'em, in the subject box is fine as I read all comments.
7. As always I forget the rules and hem haw and hope it comes to me when i get down this low in the # count. Oh, HAVE FUN!!!
Entries will be accepted through next Monday and I'll post the finalists on Tuesday morning---of course this is barring any DDoS attacks, other situations, etc.
