It might be okay as a secondary cold space to put things like lunchmeat and cheese, but I can't see something like that being an actual fridge!

I'd be forever hitting my head on the open door if I was sitting there. I'm guessing there's some sort of drip pan under it to catch condensation so that it doesn't drip onto that countertop.
