Drezzwellsley. I had to look at it twice to make sure it was spelled right. No wonder they are out of business, I assume.

I wonder what those sizes 16-44 are in today's sizes. I know dress sizes are more generous now but unless Drezzwellsley was for fat ladies I am assuming they had started with children's sizes and 16 and up were for women.

I think they were supposed to be "plus sizes," considering that "normal" ("misses") sizes are usually 2-14 or 4-16.

That makes sense. Department stores used to have a "women's" department (I think Macy's?) that was 12-18, idk anymore.

This chart (http://www.vintageswank.com/sizing.html) implies that sizes 16-44 probably correspond approximately to modern sizes 8-18.
