I really like how any computing ads have a particular esthetic to them around this time period. We had to wait until 1989 or so to get a home system, and it was an Atari 2600 Jr. I think my brother paid like $30 or $40 for a copy of Defender at the time - or whatever the price was, it just seemed like a lot of money because we were kids.
