Tandy owned Radio Shack. I think they changed the name of everything to Radio Shack awhile ago, though. Our first computer was a TRS-80, back in 1980. My brother still has it and it still, amazingly, works, all 16k of memory! It was fantastic for text based adventures, graphics, not so much. ;)
Tandy was the old name of Radio Shack's parent company. RS was called Tandy in the UK.
This was an IBM PC compatible. Before this they had the TRS-80 and the wonderful Color Computer. (Atari, Commodore and Apple computers were better but still.)
I remember I had a ghost busters game on the pc. It used to ask you if you were installing to a tandy 2000 before you installed it. What a strange question. I presume they had some differemt driver setup to most other ibm PCs at the time?
