I had one. I totally remember turning the knob so the burner would turn red.

I had one! I remember turning the knobs to see the burners turn orange over and over and over. We also had a play kitchen that I would have said was F-P, but I can't find a photo of it online now. My dad bought it, ostensibly for my mom (but actually for us kids) because she had always wanted a play kitchen as a kid and never had one.

I had one of these! I remember thinking how realistic the burners looked, too!

Yes, I had this!! Years later I remember finding some of the plastic crockery half-buried in the garden. That stuff lasts! :-D

How did the burner turn red? Did turning the knob lift up some red bits past the black ones?

Yeah, pretty much. I had it and was kind of baffled by it, because the real stove was gas, so a model electric stove was this weird fantasy object.

I didn't have that, but I did have a toy kitchen set.

i wanted one but never got it. i had a playhouse...my dad built this neat playhouse then gave my brother and i a box of half-used cans of spray paint and said "go for it". so i spray-painted a kitchen at one end!

ok, it looked crappy. but it was MINE. :D till we moved, but that was normal.

yes on this kitchen! (the grandbaby already has a kitchen, the cookie monster kitchen. she's 16 months old!)

I remember having one of those, or something very darn similar a few years later.

I don't think I had a Fisher-Price kitchen set.
