brown kitchens do NOTHING for me.

but the counter in kitchen #2 is just horrible, the way it juts out like that! i could see me running into that counter on a weekly, if not a daily, basis.

(trust me, i have enough issues with the entryway to my house...it's SO silly, you step up one step to come in, the entryway is raised that one step, and you step DOWN to the other rooms in the house. very very strange architecture.)

I have to agree about the jutting out of the cabinet...horrible! But the other one is worse with the sink opposite the stove. So you have to constantly go back and forth around the cupboard just to cook a meal! The sink should be at right angles to the stove so you can quickly swing from one to the other. Both kitchens are efficiency nightmares.

I was just thinking that about the counter. I would have permanent bruises on my hips from bumping into it. I therefore vote for #1.

Does brown work for you?

Only in combination with acres of blinding white cabinetry. So I guess I'm in business.

#1 seems to trip my trigger slightly more, I think. Swooping curves trump awkward angles.

Neither of these do anything for me.

Wait, I do like the oven in the second, but that's it.

i like the floor in #2, but hate everything about #1.

At least there's more color in #2.

I worked in a QC lab at a food company very early in my adult life, and it looked kind of like #1, so I prefer #2.

These layouts are both so weird that I can't even feel the color combinations. Why would you want to be around the corner from your stove? Why does the second one have a work hyperbola instead of a work triangle?!

I like brown floors. As long as the rest of the room isn't brown. I like floor #1 a lot. I also like the super-wide refrigerator in #1. What I wouldn't give for a nice old wide fridge - but all the doors in my house are too narrow.
I have a funny feeling those weird angles in the countertop in #2 are there for a reason, like you can be standing by the stove at the same time someone else is standing at the next station chopping or talking, and you won't bump into each other? Could be useful for parties.
But generally I'm the only one using my kitchen, so it would just be ME, bumping into the dumb edge on the counter.

I like them both. #1 appeals to me a bit more in the current state, but #2 would jump ahead with a different wallpaper and without the many pictures.

I wouldn't want either one. The sink and stove position in #1 would be a pain in the ass. I actually like the browns in #2 (insert joke here LOL) but the mint green would have to go. And I'd be covered in bruises on a daily basis from catching a hip on that jutting cabinet.

Are those double ovens I spy in #1?

Number one for sure. Lovely curves, and simple clean lines all the way.

My vote goes to the first one. I like the rounded edges on the cabinets and counters.
