Oh lordie, no. This color overwhelms any merit either of these layouts may possess.

we had a kitchen like #1 in Toronto (Mississauga) in 1962 but ours was turquoise -- guess wood was passe and "tin" was the new atomic, space-age material....

then wood came back bigtime in the 70's....

Metal is also easier to sanitize than wood. That had a lot to do with the change in style.

A kitchen like that in turquoise would be pretty.

Mississauga, you say? I spend a long weekend at the Delta hotel on Dixie Road there every April for FilKONtario (http://www.filkontario.ca/html/newbie.html").

#2, I think. With the white appliances breaking up the color, so it isn't so overwhelming.

The first one seems a little claustrophobic!

#2. I like the black counters and the white appliances.

#2 for me also. Those stainless counters--WANT.

#2, although it looks a bit short on counter space. If it was a wee bit more on the red, side, it would be perfect.

I would totally kill for an orange kitchen! I like #2 better....it has a better layout, I think.

I really don't mind the metal. I prefer the layout and style of the second one, but I wonder if the first one is not meant to be an actual floor plan but is foreshortened and crammed together for the sake of getting it all in the shot. And while I'm not saying I would order it, but I'm kind of fascinated with the coral color of the first.

#2 I liked the layout and I've liked built in ovens for no good reason. The while appliances helped break up the orange and the black counter tops help as well. Before seeing it I would have said black and orange look like Halloween, but it wasn't so bad. I like my sink to look out a window. But really, I would never use orange in my kitchen.

#2 for sure. the first looks super-cramped...I can't imagine trying to cook in there.

The second wins by a hair but I like them both.

Definitely #2 for both colors & layout, except I'd delete the dinette set. It would literally be in the way every time you turned around.

My parents built their house in 1979. The kitchen was predominantly yellow with dark wood & green, white & orange accents -- including a bright orange wall phone.

I like the fridge from #1 but overall I like #2 better. I like its colors more.

I like the cabinets in #1 better than the ones in #2 and while I like the color shade of #2 better than #1, on the whole I prefer #1.

#2: more streamlined and less claustrophobic.

I think both would drive me mad, but overall I might like #1 a bit better. I like small kitchens better than spacious ones.

An orange kitchen? You don't hear about or see those too often (there's a reason for that),

I like the hutch near the fridge in the first ad, but the second kitchen has a nicer layout, no orange fridge, and seems cozier.
