The version of "Pirates" from 1983 was always much more my cuppa tea. It wasn't a pure version either, but at least all that other stuff they mixed in was still from Gilbert & Sullivan. Plus: Rex Smith, Kevin Kline, Angela Lansbury, and Linda Ronstadt.

Nah, my taste in cheese would run more along the lines of "Carry On, Nurse" or maybe a horror/sci fi movie from the 50s. This I would just find painful. Maybe if I were a bigger fan of musicals in general?
