*reads up* Wow. ...and then I read he was the Emperor on Faerie Tale Theater. With one of the best lines of the series: "They speak the truth! They *see* the truth! ...that's not all they see!"
That's what happened to Redd Foxx (http://www.tvparty.com/mysfoxx3.html): he had done this "I'm coming, Elizabeth!" schtick for so long, that when he actually had a heart attack in rehearsals, the people on set thought at first he was joking.
Moral of the story: be careful what you joke about.
