I know I shouldn't be laughing, but... that graphic novel took A SUDDEN TURN and the downward arrow is just the finishing touch.

That is classic. A giant arrow pointing to what's left of Ted and the gang. It made me laugh too, and I was having a rotten day, so thanks for that.

You gotta do something while waiting for someone to invent TV.

Then again, I still sometimes see crowds of people at accident scenes. I'm like, geez, people, get a life! You're really helping the situation by standing there gawking!

Ted, his wife, his son, his daughter, and...is that a spinster aunt in the back seat?

Probably. She almost married once, but he was too old for her anyway and she would have sucked out whatever life he had let in him. She decided to pursue a writing career, but her editor just wanted to get into her pants.

She had a premonition of her own death and dressed appropriately.

I wondered, but she looked too young--Ted and the Mrs. looked older that she did.

Just a touch of fear mongering there. Just a touch. Look at the sparks coming off the rim in pic #2. What were those wheels made of? Phosphorus? I've watched my share of NASCAR and I have never seen sparkage like that! Cool!

Also, I am so glad that they numbered those pictures. I thought a bunch of folks were looking down a cliff where the giant floating arrow told them to look when Ted and his cheap-ass tires plowed into them. Then they all drove home and had a good laugh!

my brakes worked fine. *massive eyeroll* (there was construction debris on the road. so that year i got 4 new tires for mother's day. heh.)

Front tire while turning on a mountain road. These accidents have happened!

Thankfully modern tires don't blister; we've come a long way since the 1930s!
