Thanks! You know, Phantasm isn't the type of horror film I typically prefer, but it does have a certain appealing style that sets it apart from the more traditional "slasher"... And I've always loved the trailer, no matter how many times they mention the title. -'_-'
The DVD goes into detail that I never knew. That production was a labor of love, made on a shoestring, and they didn't really care (much) whether it was commercially successful or not. Which was, of course, why it was so wildly successful.
[There's a scene where the kid pulls back the curtain at his house and the Tall Man is standing right at the glass, glaring in. Shock! Except that they had a major problem - either A Michael Baldwin (the kid) would crack up laughing, or Angus Scrimm himself would! They had to reshoot that one scene something like five or six times.]
