mod post---rules
Oct. 21st, 2011 04:24 pmVintage ads is commercial free---meaning no ads for sale....no links to sites that have ads for sale....we have always been that way and will always remain that way......it's just fair and i know when some ads are posted and we discuss them in the comments we search for them on line and we'll find them on ebay, etc......so if you want to find an ad for sale, it's pretty easy to do......
A user, who was told that they could not link to a site with ads for sale, sneakily embedded a link to their store into their images after i rejected their posts with a link to their store.....to say i'm "not amused" is an understatement......it was sneaky and wrong and i guess i'm just a trusting person and never thought to check their code after they removed the link to their store.....and as i went through to remove their ads, i see that their first few posts did not link to their store....but then they started to include it.....don't tell me that isn't sneaky!
Thankfully a community member messaged me and asked about this situation, as they were concerned about vintage ads linking to a site selling ads, or I wouldn't have known.....so PLEASE if you see something, do not hesitate to message me!!! ALWAYS feel free to message me with any questions, concerns, suggestions, ideas, etc.....because it might be something I'm not aware of!!!! If i don't know, i can't fix it!!!!
And i HAVE fixed this.....and i've fixed myself a drink too.....
