Really, shower shoes in public! I bet this was some of the start of vulgar footwear, I'm not a fan of chucks or tennie shoes :P But, also back then, these rubber shoes were only used in sports.

I think 69 cents in 1929 is about $8.75 today. Still a very good deal! Some of these shoes are positively spiffing.
