Medicated paper/Toilet paper advertising 1886 and Kids, this stuff was a luxury item back then and cost .50 (fiddy cents) for a single roll in 1886! which equals to $11.40 a roll in today's money, due to inflation! It was advertised to help treat "anal diseases" and promoted by doctors, How times change! At the time the majority of people used newspaper, the Sears catalog if you lived in the City, or corn husks if you lived in the country.

Hey, my dad grew up in Communist-era Poland, and recalls using newspaper as late as the early 1970s!
