That's a pretty good idea when you think of it.

I definitely want that fridge. It would solve the "did you MOVE THINGS" argument when someone can't find something in the fridge.

I want one. Stuff is always getting lost in the back corners of my rectangle-fridge (which is not good, as it means finding furry things.)

That reminds me of a fridge that the Oregon Historical Society had on display a few months ago. It was HUGE and had everything. compartments for days, 2 lazy susans, like what's in that ad, an egg compartment with a motor, rotating shelves and enough room for a good 3 dozen eggs. There was even a small drawr marked "balogna" on this monster.

It was insane and I want one. But I'd take this one, too.

Ugh. I had one of those in a house I rented a few years back, and it was horrible. The rounded shelves resulted in a HUGE amount of lost space. And so often items would get stuck or trapped, because the shelves weren't designed to be reached into at all- the only way to see what was on them was to turn them out. They also tended to spill items to the floor as the shelves turned.

It looked awesome and was totally impractical.

Frigid-AWESOME!

I have a friend who actually has one of these in his house - but it's even cooler because he had someone paint it black with some nice gloss enamel made for painting cars. He actually pays to have special insurance for it, to cover repairs in case it breaks down. Pretty darned impractical, if you ask me... but what a great retro gadget!

A side note: these things are HEAVY. You wouldn't want to help move one up three flights of stairs like I did.

oh my god - lazy susans in a fridge! Why don't we have those now? This is a lovely design for a fridge too. I LOVE the way old fridges look. They look like hoop-dies (old cars). Old things just look... cool.
