So easy.
1 packet dry onion soup mix
16 oz (1 pint) sour cream.
Mix, refrigerate over night - at least six hours ahead - and serve.

You can even make it with fat free sour cream and it's good. You can't screw it up, it's a mistake proof, goof proof dip.
