in the fifth one the lady in the throne looks like she has her hand on a lever to open a trap door and banish ol' scrooge to the dungeons.

I always find it interesting that prior to WW2, posters like those above showed various female versions of 'Liberty'. With WW2 and after, it changed over to male characters like 'Uncle Sam'. I think we need more Liberty in our lives again.
