What's scary is that any of these suits would be in high style right now on the streets of Portland, OR... I'm not slender enough to wear this style, but I think those are pretty good, actually. I've been around long enough to see the clothes I grew up with come back into style...THAT IS SCARY.
badgerpdx is almost right, but not really… I'd go to Dragoncon, if I could look like the guy on the far right, in the brown suit. With the sideburns, and the sunglasses. And that tie.
Because… it's not right. If my companion was dressed like this -

the pierced and tattooed people around us would just stare.
Sorry. I'd totally wear any of those if I could fit into em...the cut is current again, but a nippeed waist doesn't look very good if you have a 48 inch chest...You have to be tall and lean. Granted, can't see the trousers~flare of the leg, but at least they aren't pleated.
And for her? As long as that's not polyester, she's rockin' it!
Agreed: In isolation, those suits work quite well. Men's fashion's don't change that much; no one would know the difference. (A Lee Majors-style leisure suit would be a very different story…)
No, what I'd want to do is the whole package, from the double-barred sunglasses on Teal Suit there to the jawline sideburns and wide tie… and LED watch. She'd have the blue eyeshadow and lapels seen here. Both of us would be flared to the Maxx. Not a lampoon or an “Oldies” parody; we simply got bored at Discon II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/32nd_World_Science_Fiction_Convention) and jaunted up to 2008 to hear the filking.
