A version of this ad received some negative press at the time--it said, "He loves my kid..." Folks suggested that a drinking man was not a suitable potential stepfather for this woman and her kid.
I don't know whether they then changed it to "mind" or whether the two ads ran in different markets or what. I just remember the controversy.
