I could do line drawings on the screen. I wrote a simple BASIC program, like an Etch-a-Sketch, that would draw horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines when I held down the right keys.
I bought a Timex Sinclair 2068 (I think that was the number). A lovely little first computer, which Timex -- having just bought Sinclair -- promptly abandoned.
Well, I learned my lesson. After that, we went out and looked at more solid machines. I kind of liked the Mac SE we looked at, but we ended up going with a more stable company, and bought a PCjr. To my wife's despair, I still have the retarded little thing, which we added on to until it was the equivalent of a PC (with no hard drive). It's the only computer we have that's slow enough to play Xonix on.
