A 1982 UK advertisement for the Ford Cortina, the country's best-selling car at the time, which in its final year of production had reached god-like status in the eyes of FoMoCo and many car buyers:



Note that everything on the car looks electrically-operated. In reality, only the radio aerial was energised- electric windows, sunroofs and mirrors were the preserve of the more expensive Granada range.

Re: #1-it seems the simpler/easier to use the technology gets, the worse the quality of the output (in some cases). Stuff like that really annoys me, particularly when plug-ins exist to download stuff like that. Both platforms.
