I'm bleakly amused by the idea that we're completely free of this kind of thing today. There's a lot of stuff we take for granted (http://www.shamelessmag.com/blog/2007/12/sexist-ads-in-review/) that will be seen as horrendously sexist in fifty years.
I wonder if this is why so many people think feminism is no longer needed -- they don't see the misogyny in their own culture because they're used to it.
