Sure! It's really easy. It makes a bread that has kind of a big crumb; it's not super-fine like store-bought bread, maybe because there is only one rise. But it's really good!
EASY WHITE BREAD
Mix in large bowl: 6 c flour (I use regular all-purpose white flour) 2 t salt 3 T sugar 2/3 c nonfat dry milk
In a medium bowl, mix: 2 1/2 c warm water 2 packs yeast (you know, those square packs from the grocery store?) 1/2 c vegetable oil
* Add yeast mixture to flour mixture * Blend well, then knead until dough is elastic and smooth. * Put in greased pans (I think this makes two loaves) * Cover in warm oven (like at the lowest possible setting) for 1 hour. (I put a cotton dishtowel over them.) The loaves should double in size. If they double before 1 hour, don't worry, just go to the next step. * After the hour, turn the oven up to 350, bake at 350 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 and cook for 30 minutes.
After you take them out of the oven, cool on wire racks for 10 minutes or so, then turn them out. Don't leave them in the pans or they'll get soggy.
You can mix up the white flour with wheat if you want. Or add cinnamon and raisins before you knead it. Yum!
I'm getting used to powdered milk, and I don't mind it (boyfriend uses it, I moved in with him and picked up the habit). But then I don't drink a lot of milk, I only use it in tea and cooking.
