I am working on my Masters thesis right now and am looking for ads that portray American life/values in the 1950s. Does anyone have any favorites that they'd be willing to share?
I'm sure everybody will post lots of great stuff from their personal collections, but I have to say you really can't go past http://www.lileks.com for a lot of that stuff. Dig in, you'll be there for hours!
Have you tried posting this to history communities. I belong to one that is pretty good: historystudents. I am sure that they will be able to point you in the right direction.
