Woman's Day May 1971

this doesn't look THAT unappealing, just looks blah...and do they even make 'small onions with cream sauce' anymore?

And this company is in on it, too.

Yeah, my mom still makes this onion/cream goop on holidays. She does it from scratch but I think you can get them canned. All around yucktastic.

I would not be able to prevent a diplomatic faux pas - I would back away from that “delicious meal,” gagging. Gawd.

"...without much doing"? You have to cook a turkey and a ham and slice them (plus cheese) before the "easy part" of the Birds Eye stuff!

PS, I remember that General Mills logo, wow.

Well, even back then you could buy sliced ham and turkey from the deli.

That looks like it's already been eaten once.

Fairly disgusting, yet if I could get a woman to cook for me once in a while I'd probably eat it.

I can barely manage to put together a bowl of ramen without disaster rearing its ugly head. :)

Aw...in my family, cooking goes hand-in-hand with nurturing, nourishment, and all those warm feel-good fuzzies. I think people should have someone cook for them, even if it is just to let them know "Here, this is what REAL food tastes like."

you mean that ramen isn't real food? :)

Sure it is... sure it is... :D

I like throwing a bunch of veggies in there, like peas, edamame beans, spinach, carrots - ramen and their broth are a good start. Toss chunks of chicken in there, or already-cleaned shrimp. Millions of fun things to do with Ramen. Now we need an ad for Ramen Noodles!

Why ruin perfectly delightful ham, turkey and Swiss cheese with this crap?

I could not cook anything that looked like this for the man I loved. It's just not nice.
