It "measures" how you should wear makeup--it's not for plastic surgery.

I would love to see someone use that thing on Shannen Doherty's face, trying to calculate how make-up could make her left eye look like it isn't higher on her face than her right one. 1. I had never noticed that before (not that I'd ever really noticed Shannon Doherty before.)

2. It's facial imperfections that make faces memorable and special. Few things more boring than a perfect face*.
