This is my all-time-favourite-advert-ever-ever-ever! I also like the fact that the President of Gabon is called "Omar Bongo" which I feel ties into this quite nicely.

It is indeed! It was broadcast throughout the 1980s. I did used to know all the words when I was a nipper (which is now a long long time ago now).

There's a great song by Go-Kart Mozart sending this up, talking about the genocide in Rwanda. This ad is so racist! I loved the way Go-Kart Mozart deftly attacked it. You can hearing "Drinkin' Um Bongo" on this MySpace:
