Do it for the boys, ladies!
Mar. 13th, 2008 11:52 amAll right, then, here's one that is vintage, an ad, newly uploaded and therefore never before seen here, AND for a menstrual product, which for some reason seems to be a favorite topic in this community.
It's Women's History Month, so here's a little gem from the October 1943 Better Homes and Gardens.
The small pic at left links to a much, much larger one.
Use Kotex - for the war effort!

Date: 2008-03-13 04:12 pm (UTC)This BH&G is full of tips on how to make your fuel dollar go farther, which is actually pretty timely. I will probably not, however, be converting a corner of my living room into a kitchen to better heat the house.

Date: 2008-03-13 07:06 pm (UTC)The BH&G I recently breezed through did not leave me feeling they were timely on anything. Especially since their center piece was on a guy who achieves full color in his southern garden all year long by ripping out all the old plants and essentially replanting the garden four times a year. Oh, and he's a garden designer. If I could afford to have that done and have it as a tax write-off, I would have a great-looking garden too.

That, and any ad that can be taken in current context to be racist or sexist, so that we can all feel smugly superior. Oh, and of course anything from the 50's with an evil child in it :)
