Minute Rice ad....this is the most disgusting looking meal ever....it might taste good, but it looks, well i'll keep that to myself...

oh my, my mother made something similiar w/ tuna, a variation on tuna casserole. it tasted pretty good, being kids and it being the 60's we didn't think that much about how it looked. there was a lot of gloppy casserole type dishes cooked in that decade.

casseroles were big in the 70's too....part of the WIN program....WIN=whip inflation now.....

use your leftovers and throw cheese on 'em or a cup of potato chip dust or breadcrumbs!

Am I the only one who finds it sad that we don't have any winning acronyms anymore? WWII was all about V for Victory (but not VD, mind you!), and there have been others throughout American history, right?

But I can think of none for now. Patriotism just isn't cool anymore. (Not WWJD, that wasn't a government-sanctioned thing.)

i agree...i think the last great successful slogan was 'i like ike'.....even 'win' in the 70's wasn't THAT successful, but it was the last attempt by the government i think to rally support by the masses...

actually it was a thai curry tuna deal; offered in both green and red curry. when placed on basmati rice just so, it kind of looks like the minute maid advert. it's actually pretty good if not the most aesthetically pleasing of meals.
