That explains why I called them that when I was a kid. I recall using that name, but I didn't know it had ever been their actual name. I've always thought I had just mispronounced it, as I did with basghetti and alunimun.

I had a friend who used Cheerios to train her dog. She could put one on Mitzi's nose, and she wouldn't eat it til she was given permission. Louise always called them Cheerioats, and I never knew why.....
