I had a great conversation with a stranger once. We both thought we were talking to someone we knew for about the first five minutes, until he called me the wrong name. It was actually pretty hilarious.
Of the many things that "kids today" miss out on that we had in youth, the ability to make crank phone calls (pre-called ID) to random strangers ranks high up there, IMO.
I love the pencil marks in that. Clearly a kid who got hoold of it after the adults were all done with it, since that sort of diagonal markup doesn't seem like it could have any notetaking significance...
Some of the advice is a little dated -- let it ring for a full minute? But a lot of it is still quite applicable, and not nearly universally heeded. The part about transferring calls, for example -- I can't tell you how many times in my work day I get calls sent down that the person who first answered could and should have handled, but instead decide to punt because the person mentioned the name of my department when the call was answered. A guide to email etiquitte this frank and clear would be even better.

Glub-glub-mo-blon is now my new catch phrase.
