Note how none of this stuff is still on the market. It's done such a good job at being a vanishing cream it's worked on itself.

Uh, not in America, at least, but in other countries it is. I've seen pictures of the nose thing from Japan, and several girls from India have told me that whitening creams still exist.

I meant the specific products. Skin lightening creams are common in some parts of the world, highly controversial (and illegal) in the UK, and available in the US. However, they tend to be very damaging, and even toxic. I've never seen any of these particular name brands in the US, and the demographic has changed. Originally, they were aimed at whites, mostly women, with either tans or uneven skin tone. These days, they're marketed toward blacks, again mostly women, and in some regions people of South Asian or Arab descent. IIRC, men in India are a major target for these creams. There's one in particular called, I think, Fair and Lovely that's got a major Bollywood star (can't remember his name, sorry) as spokesman. (I might be getting my brands confused. It's been a while since I reviewed this.)

Uh, er, yes, I know. "I meant the specific products" was enough. :)

Ah yes, bleach. Just BURN the blemishes from your skin!

I'd be interested to know what that stuff actually is. There are very few (if any) bleaching agents that are safe to use on your skin.
