The groom will sit down and shut up, if he wants a wedding night.

I've known girls who plan their entire wedding, all the details, with a faceless blank for the eventual bridegroom. When the time comes, his input into “their” wedding will not be solicited, welcome or wanted - if he wants her, then it's on her terms.

I've never followed through to see how such marriages turn out. Badly, I expect.
