I've looked into the Orphan Annie show, and their secret messages were always vague clues about stuff that was happening in the story stream that was going on.

Jean Shepherd was a genius, and he told his stories as if they had happened to him, but a lot of his stuff is fiction. (And over a thousand hours of his stuff can be found at the <a href="http://flicklives.com>Shep Archives</a>, in mp3 format, no less. It takes a few days to download it all, but it's so worth it.) Oh yeah, and Arf!

FACT: the Ovaltine factory is a block away from my house (it's condos now :( ) and the trail that used to be train tracks going into the factory is a bike path, and there's this wall painted with a mural dedicated to Ovaltine and it's the worst thing ever.
