I'm wondering, since LJ's servers were transferred to Russia, there's a site you can check yours here, should we have a special Russia day January 20th? Or would that be redundant? [I'm sort of breaking our 'no politicking rule' I'll go sit in the corner for a few minutes].

yes it is, but there's lots of news reports russia interfered with the election [i personally don't believe that]...

they certainly have everything to gain from having the incoming president "win", and its not like the new american government has the spine or inclination to do anything about it. they didnt interefere with the number counts per sey, but they did have a heavy hand in hacking and leaking information that was detremental to the candidate who they did not want to win.

this is basicly what watergate would have resulted in if it were successful.

Ive been racking my brain all day today, trying to remember the commercial.... either for best buy or blockbuster video, sometime in the early-to-mid 90s, about this old russian man, trudging through a siberian blizzard, with dramatic music, until he gets to a wooden shack. upon getting there, he asks the clerk, in subtitled russian "pardon me, do you have [insert popular movie of the week] in stock?" the cleric, straight faced and apathetic, just says "nyet." the old man signs, then continues on his arduous journey though the unforgiving siberian winter

sound familiar to anyone? ITS BEEN DRIVING ME INSANE.
