A nice tribute post ... she made a fun cameo in Blues Brothers and I remember being surprised, quite happily. The prognosis was so darn grim from the beginning of her heart attack that her death wasn't a shock; at least it was quick.
It's my favorite movie of all time and I've watched it, seriously, several hundred times. Every time I watch it, I always get that 'new movie' feeling. Even though I know it word for word.
Ever notice in the Klopeks house there's a fire extinguisher in every room you see? And when Rumsfield opens the dining room door, after "It came with the frame" there's the shadow of a noose on the wall?
It is a very detailed movie - the first time I watched it was as a child and it just keeps getting better and better. I did notice the noose shadow but I didn't notice all the fire extinguishers. TBH, I didn't even know Carrie Fisher was in it - not sure how that went over my head. I think I'll see if it's on Netflix too :-)
I saw it as, well basically an adult---the mod is 'vintage' :D It DOES keep getting better and better!! HOORAY!!! You're the first person I mentioned the noose to who SAW IT!!!
I've got it on DVD! Think it's permanently in the player too.
