OOPS!!! When I did like 200 scheduled posts for the week's events and then the reminders the day before, somehow I missed the entry for this week's upcoming events!!

Wednesday December 21, ONE DAY EVENT: Short. It's the shortest day of the year, so ads that mention the word 'short' in the product name, in the ad copy, etc

Friday - Sunday December 23-25 Weekend EventS: Snow and Travel. Ads that show snow AND ads that depict/involve travel in anyway

And it should go without saying that Christmas based ads are welcome! Santa, presents, Christmas trees and lights, etc.

i've always heard it called shortest day, like in july we have the longest day.....did i mess that up? fiddlestix.....

It's the other way round for half the entire planet.

AH!!! Got it!! A neighbor's mom is visiting from Argentina, where they're having summer. So she's now 'enjoying' sub zero temps, sleet, and coating of ice everywhere!!

I would too; it hardly ever snows here, even in winter. Sadly it doesn't get dark till around 10pm this time of year which is unfortunate for Hanukkah candle lighting and any Christmas lights (not that people have many because of it being summer).

we're dark around 5pm now :( and we don't get light til around 7:30 :(....that would definitely put a damper on a hanukkah lighting and christmas lights!

my neighbor is from argentina---not just her mom---and she was telling me they don't have christmas trees there really because it's summer and it's different culturally.....i mean, there's lots of u.s. states that have basically summer year round and they put up christmas trees---but i think that would seem weird...

Maybe it's not a Latino tradition, but I bet they have some awesome traditional seasonal food.

People do trees here, just not Christmas lights. And no fake snow, not in summer.
