I really wanted to post in this weekend event, but I couldn't dig up much for these two fine Maple Leaf canned lunch meats, Klik and Kam. Klik is "premium pork luncheon meat" and Kam contains chicken and pork. I don't believe I have had either in my lifetime! We were always a Hereford Corned Beef household (no bologna either!) and my brother and I used to fight over who got to open the can with the little key. I still enjoy a slice of fried corned beef now and then!

Glad you found these 'cause I've not heard of them. And they're from Canada, per the label, or at least Canada packers. Neato! I'm sure your brother and you had such darn fun opening the can carefully so as not to derail the little curl of metal because once that happens, it's back to using pliers to finish the job.

We had Mary Kitchen "Roast Beef" Hash with eggs on top on Wednesday night, the only brand I'm recalling that says roast beef and not corned. Tasted the same.

Bless google maps, I say! We get to see homes long ago lived in and such other nostalgic things ...

Nonlexical, more-or-less-single-syllable names on canned, dubitably-alleged meat products seem to be a longrunning thing: Spam, Kam, Klik, okeh; also Prem (http://www.mapleleaf.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/swift-premium-pork-luncheon-meat_225.jpg), Treet (https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3791/10721187344_323fa9e132.jpg), Zwan (http://www.portercart.com/images/products/1000_800/0rm7hgoe_1.png), and—best of all, Skunch (https://youtu.be/8t7tgG1i3f8?t=10m48s)!

“Are you sure this is dog food?”
“Well, it’s got a picture of a dog on it.”

For whatever reason, Diet Chicken Bars always makes me giggle.
