Date: 2016-11-08 08:53 pm (UTC)On the other hand, I remember reading a science-fiction story way back when, where as many such children as possible were “rescued from unfavourable surroundings” before the nuclear war started - that being the said “surroundings.” They were launched offworld, to start the human race over without the mental baggage adults would bring.
