Formerly, there were vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. (Not to mention H, I, J, K (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_K) and so on.) Somewhere along the line F (http://www.dermascope.com/ingredients/vitamin-f-linoleic-acid#.V4FaW67-TEk) and G (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riboflavin) became known by their current names.
