Aloes, Cascara, Apocynum, Frangula, Burcock, Dandelion, Sarsaparilla, Mandrake, Rhubarb, Prickly Ash Bark, and Juniper Berries.

Aloe: aloe vera (http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/natural-medicine/herbal-remedies/amazing-aloe-vera.htm), a lubricant with (according to the link) a wide range of other uses

Cascara: probably cascara sagrada (http://altmedicine.about.com/od/completeazindex/a/cascara.htm), a powerful laxative

Apocynum (http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=APCA) is also known as Indian hemp, prairie dogbane, hemp dogbane, and dogbane.

Frangula (http://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=FRAL4): is of the buckthorn family: Glossy Buckthorn, Alder Buckthorn, Fernleaf Buckthorn, or Tallhedge Buckthorn

"Burcock" is probably burdock (http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-111-BURDOCK.aspx?activeIngredientId=111&activeIngredientName=BURDOCK) root; many people cook with it, as it is sometimes used as a blood purifier. In fact, the food co-op I belong to sells it as a vegetable.

Dandelion (http://foodfacts.mercola.com/dandelion-greens.html) is well-known as a weed, and people often use it as a salad green or make tea with it. I just learned something: it's a member of the sunflower family.

Sarsaparilla (http://www.nutrasanus.com/sarsaparilla.html) has been used in the treatment of syphilis and other conditions—sexual and otherwise—although this link points out there are no studies supporting the taking of Sarsaparilla for any of these reasons.

Mandrake (http://www.sacredearth.com/ethnobotany/plantprofiles/mandrake.php) root is a member of the nightshade family, and is poisonous.

Rhubarb is, well, rhubarb (http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-214-RHUBARB.aspx?activeIngredientId=214&activeIngredientName=RHUBARB). Before its present association with rhubarb pie or jam, it was used to make medicine.

Prickly Ash Bark (hhttp://www.herbs2000.com/herbs/herbs_prickly_ash.htm) is used to this day in the treatment of toothaches, arthritis, and sore throat.

Juniper berries (http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-724-JUNIPER.aspx?activeIngredientId=724&activeIngredientName=JUNIPER) are used for a full range of medicinal purposes, including numbing pain, treating stomach ailments and intestinal gas.

It makes hubby draggy? Is his drag name Sharon Dix?

Also, yay, "alright", my least favorite non-word. Good to know it has a long history.

"Although the spelling alright is nearly as old as all right, some critics have insisted alright is all wrong. Nevertheless it has its defenders and its users, who perhaps have been influenced by analogy with altogether and already. It is less frequent than all right but remains common especially in informal writing." (which I suppose is what ads are, tbh)
