My primary partner sent this to me because she knows I love Vans. It's interesting because it shows just how much the style has changed.
(She also sent me an airline ad from the 1950s that reads "People Are Smoking More!" and goes on about how Pacific Airlines gives out the best cigarettes. I'm happy to post that, but the ad is so insane I suspect it's probably been posted here before and I just missed it.)

Date: 2015-11-04 04:49 pm (UTC)I also approved you for unmoderated posting and PLEASE post that airline ad!! I don't recall that being posted before and it sounds very interesting. There's also nothing wrong with an ad being posted again.

Date: 2015-11-04 09:04 pm (UTC)Rome Girl and I look at a lot of old advertisements because we are freelance ad/marketing people and they often give us cool ideas for new campaigns.
The downside of that is that when I see a cool older ad I can never remember if I saw it here, on AdWeek, on Tumblr, if Rome Girl sent it to me or if a client sent it to me, etc....
My nightmare is trying to show someone something I think is cool and having them be like "dude, we are the people who showed you that in the first place."
